Night Sky Lab

Watch the Moon and the stars move, right in your browser

See the Moon change shape night after night, turn the lunar surface in your hands, follow the path the Moon takes across tonight's sky, and take in a whole month at a glance. The solar system, the constellations of each season, the tides, and solar and lunar eclipses are all here.

Positions are computed with astronomy-engine and the lunar surface is built from NASA LRO data. Nothing to install, no account, no student data collected. Written for a primary science class, but secondary students and curious adults use it as it is.
